Pirates Arrrgh!
This week we have made many different pirate props for our role play. Can you guess what we have made?
We have been reading ‘Portside Pirates’ this week, you can find the song on YouTube https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_qAngsMJD3I
Next week we continue with our pirate theme, don’t forget it’s Priate Day on Wednesday. We will be collecting donations this day for sufferers of the Nepal earthquake.
Information from the experts…
This extract is taken from a leading early years writer and adviser on the blog ABC Does. Please take your time to read it and understand what your children can gain from our mud Kitchen.
Our mud kitchen is still in its early stages so if you could have a look at the list below and see if you could help us in any way we would be very grateful.
Welcome to Nursery Sho Lo and Goggles!
We have had two new fishy additions to nursery this week. Meet Sho Lo (Orange) and Goggles (black). As part of our topic ‘Splish, Splash, Splosh’ we will be looking at things that need water to live. So I decided to get us some classroom pets to look after.
In other news… The Mud Kitchen has been a great success. We have made some wonderful things using our imagination.
Our busy first week back
Box Play
children have a great imagination, and a box can be anything! If you have any large boxes we would be very great fun for them.
Easter week
This week we have done lots of fun activities to celebrate Easter and the end of term…
We have made cute litte chocolate nests, complete with eggs and a chick,
We have also made some beautiful giant Easter eggs with paper mâché (lots of messy fun)! But I’m sure you’ll agree the finished result is amazing!
HAPPENS EASTER EVERYONE! see you on April 20th after the holidays!
