This week at Nursery we had lots of fun exploring nursery rhymes and focusing on our talk for writing model text – Twinkle twinkle little star. Throughout the week, we enjoyed exploring with instruments, sharing familiar rhymes and learning new ones. By joining in with sounds, words, phrases and actions, we all performed together as we developed our repertoire of songs!

We followed our story map and worked collaboratively to choose actions to accompany the words to our model text rhyme. We continued to practise together, becoming more confident as we joined in with the words and actions to the lines in the rhyme.

You could use our photographs to recap the key actions within our rhyme and perform them at home to your family. Next week at Nursery, we will continue to explore different nursery rhymes and perform together using instruments and puppets as props!
