Autumn Fun
The children have become engrossed in rolling Conkers in our outdoor area this week. This fascination has led to creative play as we combined conkers, guttering and paint to create a beautiful piece of Autumn artwork.
Snack Preparation
This week we began our snack preparation. We learnt new vocabulary and developed our physical skills by learning how to use a knife to spread butter onto our slice of bread. Well done everyone!
Splash
We didn’t let the rain dampen our spirits in Nursery today. The children were overjoyed to get outdoors and experience the elements, then end our day cuddled up with a hot chocolate drink to warm up and a story.
One Potato, Two Potato, Three Potato Four!
What joy and excitement we experienced this week as the children incidentally discovered a potato in our 3 YO planter. This led to lots more potato harvesting, counting of potatoes and washing and preparing them for snack. We cooked them and enjoyed them the next day with some cream cheese….Delicious!
Water Water Everywhere
Despite the rain, we had lots of fun outside today. The children explored fine motor skills and colour mixing as they painted in puddles on the bench. This held their interest for a long time.
Making Friends
What a lovely week we have had meeting and making friends with all of our new children in 3 Year Old Nursery. We are very proud of how our older children have supported new friends to settle in. Well done everyone!
First Week Back at Nursery
What a wonderful week we have had welcoming back our 3 Year Old Nursery children this week. They have all grown and developed so much and we have loved having fun both indoors and out this week.
Teddy Bears Picnic
We were thrilled to welcome so many families into school for our picnic this week. The weather stayed dry and we had lots of fun, eating cuddling our teddies and playing games.
Drumming
This week we had fun exploring the sounds of the big drum. We used our super listening skills to help us to echo sounds and beats played by the adult.
